Splurge or Save? - The Best of Budget Cosmetics

So in my time as a makeup enthusiast I've been in many different circumstances that have affected my spending habits, from having absolutely no life responsibility and being able to spend every cent on makeup, to having bills and rent to pay. This means that I've spent my fair share of time in the aisles of supermarkets, drugstores and other cosmetics suppliers looking for the best budget makeup products. While there are literally thousands of makeup bargains out there, I've compiled a list of my absolute favourites (products I'd choose over high-end alternatives every time) to get you budgeters through your makeup obsessions.

Australis Fresh and Flawless Pressed Powder: $12.95
Okay so if you've read any of the posts on this blog, you've probably already heard about this bad boy but trust me it's worth the 2000 times I've mentioned it. This pressed powder is the closest dupe to the MAC Studio Fix powder you'll ever find, AND it's cruelty free, AND its way cheaper than MAC.

Australis Velour Lips Matte Lip Cream: $10.49
Matte lips are kinda a big deal at the moment, which means they're a super easy product to find budget options for. Like with Fresh and Flawless, Australis have absolutely mastered this product (trust me, I own like every shade), with a creamy, highly pigmented formula that stays on literally all day and a huge variety of shades, this one is definitely worth picking up next time you go to the pharmacy.
Some of my favourite shades include: ny-cee, mi-a-mee, pa-ree and doo-bai

e.l.f Face Primer: $13
This face primer feels exactly like the Benefit POREfessional, with mineral-infused ingredients, this to-die-for primer combats everything. Literally it'll help with oiliness, dry flakiness, fine lines and pores, what more can you want from a product that costs less than a pizza? e.l.f have also nailed it by offering four different shades to help with colour correction (green), dullness (purple), adding radiance (gold) and reducing pores (clear), which means there's an option for absolutely everyone.

L.A Girl HD Pro Conceal: $10
This concealer is perfect for a full-faced look because it has pretty high coverage and will brighten the f&#@ out of your under-eye area. I probably wouldn't pair this with a sheer foundation because it can appear kinda cakey or over-the-top. But for $10, this concealer works well with any full-coverage foundation (I love pairing it with Estee Lauder Double Wear).

Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara: $12
Describing mascara is really hard but basically this is a dupe for the Benefit They're Real mascara. Don't believe me? Try it yourself because its only $12!!
